Four Favorites

This week winter has made it clear that it will be hitting us shortly! A very cold and glumly week. To be honest, I sort of like it. Winter has always been my favourite season. More reason to snuggle up indoors in front of the fire.

What's your favorite season?

So happy that this baby arrived, I love Cupcakes and cashmere and everything Emily has done. This book is so helpful since we are looking for our first house. It is so beautifully written and has the best photos

The new Whittaker chocolate is to die for!  The Pear and Manuka Honey has to be my favourite so far.

Weekly roundup - Bath products

Autumn is only just over here in New Zealand but it's felt like the middle of winter for a while! I'm not a fan of the cold weather but it does mean bath time! I've always been one of those people who will waste away the evenings in a bath and only reluctantly get out when the bath is freezing.

This week I have rounded up my favourite bath products.

What's your favorite?

1. "The comforter" from Lush. Beautiful blackcurrent bubbles that are so rightly described as a giant hug in the bath. Always has been and always will be my favourite bath product
2. "Ease my ache's" bath salts from The Herb Farm. Packed with peppermint,  eucalyptus and ginger. So soothing on sore muscles and a stress out mind.
3. "Lemon honey" both bomb from The HoneyBunch Shop.  The most amazing ingredients make this bath one of a kind. Goats milk, manuka honey and cocoa butter.  Yes please!
4. "Big Blue" fromLush. As this disovles and releases it's lavander and citrus scent, it will transport you to floating in an ocean. Perfect since I am missing Rarotonga so much!
5. Ecostore bubble bath. Yes, this is targeted for babies but the stunning scent and how soft it leaves your skin, is a winner for me.

Four Favourites

Life is full of less than perfect moments and things we would rather not do but there is also small moments that remind us of how good life is and how lucky we are. This week was a particularly hard week at work and I have been a little more stressed than usual.  So every week I will post my favourite four things from the week.

Autumn Tartan

I love to have fresh flowers in the house, especially in the colder months since it lifts the mood of the house. This morning my husband and I took a walk down to our local flower shop and picked up these crisp white daisies. The days are cooler but I am refusing to give up on dresses just yet. This Urban Precinct dress with long sleeves is a pretty good compromise.

April favorites

April was a busy month for me,  I got married and went on a unforgettable honeymoon to Rarotonga. All that aside I still had time to do some shopping and have rounded up my favorite purchases for the month.

Black Pearl pendant that I found at the Saturday market in Rarotonga. Stunningly beautiful and rather rare, I just had to have one. Something that will always remind me of our honeymoon

This coconut body oil with Noni scent was something I picked up in Duty Free trying to kill some time in the airport. I'm so glad I did. With its intensely tropical scent this is summertime in a bottle. The 100% Coconut oil is a light but nourishing moisturizer that sinks in fast, leaving behind soft skin and a lovely smell

Everday Coconut night time replenishing cream. I found this on the website iherb. Skin care is so important to me,  I'm always looking for new ways to care for my skin. This cream is packed with great ingredients like coconut oil, coconut water and papaya.  Not only does this make my skin feel amazing it is also fair trade certified,  not tested on animals and helps to support maternal health care in Togo amongst other charity work, so it's amazing for the soul also.  Safe to say I'll be getting the rest of the range. Learn more about their work here

After coming back to a New Zealand autumn I was in need of something to really warm me up and get me into that autumn groove. The Harney and sons Pumpkin Spice tea does just that. The undoubtedly warming scent of pumpkin and cinnamon takes me straight to a crisp autumn afternoon spent crunching through fallen leaves. Who doesn't love a good cup of tea and a beautiful vintage tin? Get it here

Diamonds and Deco

Diamonds and Deco is born!

Ever since I was little I have had a love affair with sparkly and vintage things. There is something so unique and timelessly beautiful about the Art Deco period. A time when even the most mundane of daily life was performed with elegance, grace and glamour.

As life has gotten more hectic, that elegance,  grace and glamour has begun to fade, enter Diamonds and Deco.  A place where all the aspects of life that I love can come together. I hope you will enjoy and share my love of the  slightly more glamorous and special things in
life.  Fashion,  beauty,  food, decor and everything in between.
